Now that’s a funny story from the peak of malaise.
IIRC the rear windows in the sedans and wagons didn’t roll down, only the vent window opened.

My 85 T oyota pickup would run circles around it, but these cars, while not really a collectible, have a cult following and are super rugged 9c9 cars (factory taxis, like 9c1 is a factory chevy cop car) . There are quite a few still on the road.

S everal of the smaller GM sedans had that, um, feature. Supposedly, it was to give more hip room in the read seat by allowing the door card to be scalloped inward more, but cost cutting was almost certainly an additional consideration.

this is true, My parents’ K-car of the same year they didn’t roll down because it was an option to get that crank.

While my dad’s Horizon of roughly the same year, technically lower on the ladder than a K-Car, at least had 4 working windows.
